WMUN 2006 Ambassador
Kudirat Garuba, 22- year Old final year Aptech Student (Sikkim Manipal
University), hails from the beautiful land of Kwara State-Ilorin.
She was crowned at
the Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Bank Anthony Way-Ikeja-Lagos on August 10,
2006, were she clinched the 1st World Miss University Nigeria title
(Pioneer Queen).
She is the first ever Nigerian
student Peace Ambassador to the United Nations, Goodwill Ambassador to the
International Vaccine Institute (IVI), and ambassador of peace to Jeju Island.
She won the “best friendly Award in Nigeria”
Queen Kudirat made
Nigeria and the whole of Africa proud by clinching the honorary Miss Poise
Award and the top six spot in the international contest, at the 19th World Miss
University Contest held at the International Convention Center, (ICC) Jeju
Island, South Korea on November 11, 2006.
