The World Miss University Contest was established in 1986 under the International Association of University Presidents, the United Nations-affiliated NGO to commemorate the United Nations-designated Year of Peace. The contest, a celebration of beauty and intellect, strives to spread the message of love and peace throughout the world by annually appointing a public service delegation of outstanding female university students from all around the world.
World Miss University Nigeria (WMUN) Contest, a United Nations (UN) and International Association of University President’s (IAUP) approach of solving problems associated with youths around the world, particularly those in tertiary institution. The pageant aims to celebrate the intellectuality, beauty and creativity of female students in tertiary institutions. Winners are life ambassadors dedicated to the ideal of World peace.
